The Budget Pay Program Solution
The Answer to a Volatile Market
Lately, the price of almost everything has been on the rise. Consider how much you paid to fill your car with gas last week versus last summer. Airfare costs are doubling and tripling too. Even staples like milk, bacon, and eggs cost more now than they did just months ago. Unfortunately, the price of fuel for your home is no exception. But you can take comfort in knowing that propane remains one of the most cost-efficient ways to heat your home and fuel your appliances. Also, the price of propane tends to make more moderate swings than that of heating oil.
Fuel Price Influencers
Several factors have long affected the price of propane:
- Energy policy
- Manufacturing trends
- Natural disasters
- Supply & demand
- Transportation bottlenecks
More recently, we’ve seen some additional issues come into play:
- Covid-19-related workforce issues
- Global conflicts
- Rising delivery costs
- Supply chain problems
Get a Consistent Fuel Bill
Even with the many factors affecting the cost of propane, you can still take the guesswork out of your fuel bill by enrolling in Allied Propane Service’s Budget Pay Program. Instead of worrying about fluctuating prices and unpredictable spikes in costs, you can have a predetermined monthly bill. Doesn’t that sound great? You may not be able to predict how much it will cost to gas up your car a week from now, but if you enroll in our Budget Pay Program, you’ll know exactly what your propane fuel bill will be every month for a year.
The Budget Pay Program
Here’s how it works: When you enroll, Allied will calculate your home’s yearly fuel costs and then divide that into 12 even monthly payments. For existing customers, that means looking at your previous year’s bills. For new customers, we make an estimate based on the averages in your neighborhood for similarly sized homes and families.
Every March we compare your usage and payments. If we see you have slightly underpaid, we’ll adjust your bill for the twelfth month (usually a minor adjustment). If you have overpaid, that overage will become a credit applied to your new contract. Most of our contracts begin in May, but it’s never too late to sign up.
So why not eliminate the stress and worry of unpredictable fuel bills? Enroll in our Budget Pay Program today!
