That’s why Allied Propane is proud to offer our customers Gas Check, an inspection service designed to ensure that your propane system is operating safely.

What is Gas Check? The Gas Check program was developed by the Propane Education Research Council (PERC). It gives propane companies like Allied Propane guidelines for ensuring the safety of their propane customers.

When you become a Gas Check customer, one of Allied Propane’s trained propane professionals will come to you home to perform a thorough inspection and review of your entire propane gas system. Once your Gas Check visit is complete, you can have complete peace of mind that every component of your propane system is operating safely.

As part of your Gas Check visit, we’ll begin outside at your propane tank. We’ll check its overall condition and look for signs of rust or wear. We’ll also check all of its components, including the relief valve and fittings. We’ll perform a pressure test and check the regulator to make sure the pressure of the gas from your tank to your home is at a proper and safe level.

Your Gas Check visit will also include an inspection of all the gas piping to your home and inside your home to your propane appliances. We’ll also inspect each of your home’s propane appliances—including the controls, pilots, burners and combustion chambers, the venting system, and the combustion air.

Each step of your Gas Check will be documented, and you’ll receive a copy for your records. If any part of your home’s propane system needs work, you’ll be notified.
